We’re convinced that if “The Pill” can help develop the shots of some of the best college basketball players in the nation and develop the shots of NBA stars, that it can definitely help develop your shot as well!
How “The Pill” Works
“The Pill” has been scientifically researched and tested to become the premier basketball to teach shooting with the correct form. “The Pill” has specifically designed Red, White, and Blue alternating panels on the basketball. These alternating panels of drastic color change allow for the shooter to clearly see the rotation on the ball every time they shoot to ensure that the ball always has the correct amount of backspin. The backspin on the ball is one of the most important aspects of shooting. With the correct amount of backspin, the ball always has a good chance of going in and it creates what is called “The shooter’s’ roll.” This means shots that would have normally rolled out now roll in.
“The Pill” also has a thick Red, White, and Blue line that runs vertically down the middle of the ball. This line is a very important key to why “The Pill” ensures great shooting form. The Red, White, and Blue line differs from the similar colored panels with a contrasting color on each panel. This is done to make sure that every time the ball is shot, the shooter is able to see the line and make sure it is spinning completely straight. This is the main factor in ensuring that every shot shoots straight, which gives it the best chance possible to go in. The line down the middle of “The Pill” also allows the shooter to make adjustments after every shot they take. For example, if the shooter takes a shot and sees the line spinning sideways or crooked, they can make the necessary adjustments on the next shot so that the line on the ball spins straight making the entire shot straight and successful. The thick vertical line is also very helpful for the shooter to be able to line the ball up correctly in their hands every time they catch the ball and are ready to shoot.
