This is a clinic that accomplishes 2 main things: To teach players the correct way to shoot the basketball as well as put them through a series of drills to work on shooting with the correct form in game situations. It is the how and what of shooting, the meat and potatoes.

Here is how the clinic is set up: We come to your town or high school and put on a Nick Nurse 1000 Shots 1 day Shooting Clinic. The camp is open and available to any kinds within the given school system (elementary/middle school/high school) or whoever the school’s basketball coach decides they want at the clinic. In the past a lot of high schools have used it as their kickoff to summer basketball. We keep it very affordable at $25 per person so anyone that wants to learn how to be a great shooter can attend. At the 1000 Shot Shooting Clinic we use a ball called “The Pill.” Nick Nurse created this ball specifically geared towards teaching basketball players the correct way to shoot the basketball, make sure that the ball is always lined up, and that the shooter always has the perfect form. We use “The Pill” plus a unique, fun way to teach shooting to make sure every kid learns the correct form and is able to use it in a game. We also strongly encourage the middle school/freshmen/jv coaches or any other basketball coaches in the school system to help out as well so they too can also learn first hand how to teach the kids in their program the correct way to shoot the basketball.

If you go to a high school game and watch everyone’s shooting form normally about 5% of the players shoot the basketball with the correct form. Shooting is the most important and most underrated part of the game. It is also the easiest aspect of the game to work on and improve. All you need is a ball, a basket, and the knowledge of how to shoot the perfect shot.

The Nick Nurse 1000 Shot Shooting Clinics last 2 1/2 hours and are filled with productive, fun, and exciting drills to teach basketball players how to become a better shooter. Our goal is to help every high school or middle school team we work with become the best shooting team in the conference!
